Duncan Evans is a singer-songwriter musically rooted in the tradition of English Folk. He pursues a storyteller approach, drawing inspiration from murder ballads and rather focussing on the darker side of things, blending the delicate with the macabre.
The music is primarily acoustic and stripped down, but is suffused with intensity, power and emotional depth.
In 2013 Duncan Evans was signed to Prophecy Productions who, in November of that year released his first album – Lodestone – along with a 7″ vinyl single – Bird of Prey – and a music video – Girl on the Hill. |
